MAHINDRA WORLD SCHOOL

Mahindra World School is an important part of the social infrastructure at India's first integrated business city. The school's Kindergarten section threw open its doors in September 2007. Designed by the renowned architect Padma Bhushan Hafeez Contractor, spread over a sprawling 5-acre campus nestled amidst sylvan surroundings, this co-educational school has been operational from June 2008, and now includes classes from Pre-KG to standard XII. The school follows the CBSE curriculum and aims to inculcate higher order thinking skills in children. The school caters to the children of Mahindra World City employees/residents as well as of those residing in surrounding areas.

Everything about the school, from its campus to its faculty and philosophy, is geared towards making learning an enriching and vital experience. Mahindra World School, into the 18th academic year, has claimed a place for itself in the community. Keeping up with times has been the school's forte, which is evident from the future ready learning that happens here. Mahindra World School is a Mahindra Group venture. It nestles in the lap of nature, adding pride to the Mahindra World City, New Chennai, which is the India's first integrated business city and corporate India's first operational Special Economic Zone. Mahindra World School is run by one of the country's leading philanthropic institutions, the Mahindra World School Educational Trust. Mahindra World School affectionately called as MWS is a co-educational school, which follows the CBSE syllabus. MWS stresses not only the academic development but the overall development of the child entrusted in its hands.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Mahindra World School sprawls on a spacious, beautifully landscaped five acres of land, with aesthetically designed interiors to cater to the needs of the future builders of the nation. The school's infrastructure comprises of well-lit spacious classrooms, laboratories for Mathematics and Science, Libraries - Senior and Junior, Audio Visual Rooms, Arts and Crafts Room, Music Room, Auditorium, Conference Hall, 3.9-acre playfield to facilitate outdoor games and an auditorium to facilitate indoor games. The school also provides counseling facilities and Medical care facility.

    MAHINDRA WORLD SCHOOL is a unique learning space where students are provided ample exposure to indulge in everything – books, battle of wits, dancing to tunes (literal, not idiomatic!), tinkering with technology, speaking your mind (respectfully, of course), pushing the boundaries and exploring the zenith. Yet, these opportunities can be suitably grabbed by our students and channelised into productive knowledge only when disciplined and driven. With the school’s continued focus on ensuring student discipline, together as educators and parents, we achieve this shared goal of creating young people who exhibit the four ethos on which MWS is built – Respect for others, Integrity at all times, Innovation to impact, and Excellence in being human.

    Mahindra World School has indeed successfully completed two years of implementation of School Innovation Council and Atal Innovation Mission (both flagship initiatives of Government of India) through the AIOT curriculum, inspiring students to come up with innovative ideas and create projects that have garnered huge recognition when presented in nationwide platforms where universities and industries compete. Students’ quest for finding solutions to societal problems have been fuelled through our integrated curriculum. Facilities at MWS such as the 3-D Printing, Robotics, and Tinkering lab, combined with expert inputs from our teachers as well as mentors from reputed institutes and organisations have made this possible.

    Along with our year-round co-curricular activities, our MUN and TED programmes are where students find the suitable platform to showcase their knowledge and hone their public speaking skills too. As Cambridge English School, we partner to prepare and conduct Cambridge Certificate examinations.  Our sports training opportunities enable many to find their interest converted to sportsmanship and chase their dream to perform on bigger playgrounds.
