School Innovation Council
Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE launched the School Innovation Council programme for schools across the country. The Programme aims at fostering the culture of Innovation, Ideation, Creativity, Design Thinking and Entrepreneurship in Schools.
Mahindra World School registered and trained teachers and students under different council members as per the requirements of SIC. All teaching and non-teaching staffs of Mahindra World school registered and completed the 72 hours training programme and received the School Innovation Ambassador badge from Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE.
As a part of this initiative, students of grades VI-VIII (260 students) attended a virtual the “Leadership talk” given by Mr. Yashraj Bharadwaj, Co-Founder of Petonic Info-tech, Fellow and Advisor, UC Berkeley, who was interviewed by Dr. Elangovan Kariappan, Asst. Director, Innovation cell, Ministry of Education.
These SIC activities prepare the ground for Innovation, ideation, and prototype development contests at school, state and national levels. SIC links schools with Innovation Councils established by MoE’s Innovation Cell at Higher Education Level providing a greater exposure to the school students
